COMMISSIONS

Both artists offer commissions not in time for Christmas 25, sadly, but you can purchase from their stock art or buy gift vouchers for a future purchase or custom commission in the new year.

ARTIST HELEN RIDDELL

Artist Helen Riddell will also be available to meet and chat about art over the weekend, showcasing her new work and portfolio. Thursday to Sunday

Helen's work is enriched with texture and playful uses of colour across her small and large-scale works. You can purchase original art from Helen in various sizes, as well as prints and cards.

Helens' work is loved by many. If abstract is your thing, you must stop by the chalet and check us out.

Helen is an abstract artist who recently relocated from London to the stunning South Downs in Hampshire. Her work captures the profound emotions evoked by nature's beauty, from the intensity of a stormy sky to the serenity of a vibrant sunset. Blending strength with vulnerability, Helen’s art often reveals hidden moments of peace.

"I am drawn to the duality of skies and seas, which can embody both wildness and tranquillity. My art seeks to explore these opposing forces within us, using texture, colour, and layering to evoke a sense of euphoric calm. Through this process, I aim to create a space where contrasting energies coexist in harmony."

To achieve the textures that speak to these emotions, Helen employs a variety of tools and materials, including palette knives, rollers, sponges, modelling paste, crackle paste, and sand. The tactile quality of her work invites the viewer to pause and engage with the layers, connecting to the underlying emotional states she conveys. Layering acrylics, inks, and pastels further enhances the depth and complexity of her pieces.

Colour plays a pivotal role in Helen’s work. The deep richness of blues and the energising vibrancy of pinks and reds stir intense emotions. Her use of colour creates dynamic movement within the artwork, while layering and removing paint uncover unexpected beauty. In some of her collections, Helen incorporates gold leaf, inspired by the Japanese art of Kintsugi, to celebrate the beauty of imperfection and reflect our personal histories and the acceptance of our flaws.

Helen aims to forge emotional connections with her audience, inviting them to explore their own interpretations and associations with her art.  In addition to her collections, Helen also offers commissioned pieces, collaborating with clients to create artworks that reflect their individual preferences and vision.

ARTIST KIMBERLEY NICOLLE

Artist Kimberley Nicolle will also be available to meet and chat about art over the weekend, showcasing her new work and portfolio. Friday to Sunday.

Kimberley's work is bold, colourful, and large. So if you have been looking at that empty wall, now is the time to do something about it, so come down to Hotwalls and check us out. Commissions are always welcome.

If abstract is your thing, you must stop by the chalet and check us out plus there are loads of other very talented artists joining us.

Heart Art

✨ Heart Art for Nan ✨

In loving memory of my beautiful nan, who recently passed away. She was the heart of our family — kind, gentle, and full of love — and I wanted to honour her in a way that keeps her spirit alive. ❤️

I’ve created a special Heart Art Collection, inspired by her warmth and the love she gave so freely. For every heart sold, I’ll be making a donation to Southampton Hospitals Charity, supporting the dementia ward that cared for her with such compassion.

Thank you to everyone who supports, shares, or simply takes a moment to remember her with me.

💕 Let’s spread love, in her name. 💕

Be the first to know about exhibitions, work for sale, and events I’m involved with.
