This May, Brighton & Hove once again becomes a vibrant hub of creativity as the Artists Open Houses festival returns for 2026. With nearly 200 venues opening across the city, along the seafront, and into nearby villages like Ditchling, it’s a unique opportunity to step inside working studios, meet a Brighton artist, and experience art in a more personal and meaningful way.
I’m excited to be collaborating with The Box Gallery Brighton as part of this year’s festival. For the first time, The Box Gallery is joining Artists Open Houses, hosting a curated exhibition of 12 selected finalist artists, and I’m proud to be one of them.
New Abstract Art in Brighton – Open Houses 2026
This exhibition will also mark the first showing of my new Splash Collection paintings for 2026. These works explore movement, energy, and abstraction and will be available as abstract art for purchase directly during the May event. At The Box Gallery, contemporary art meets a welcoming, community-focused space where visitors can connect with both artists and collectors alike.
One of the most powerful aspects of Artists Open Houses is its inclusivity. The festival brings together artists at all stages of their careers, from emerging talent to established names, while also supporting neurodivergent artists and creatives from diverse backgrounds. Choosing to buy directly from a Brighton artist community not only means owning something original but also supporting the local creative community.
Exploring the Open Houses is also a chance to experience Brighton in a different way. Beyond the usual hotspots, you’ll discover hidden studios, garden exhibitions, and intimate gallery spaces, each offering something unexpected.
