Artist Kimberley Nicolle Music Neon Collection 2024. My favourite collection to create is the Neons. This collection showcases my experience and expression when listening to music. It is very prolific and free-flowing with my use of brush strokes and mark-making. The colours chosen are bright and bold, and I paint on a mixture of beautiful foil papers in purple, pink, blue, silver, gold and pixel. ​

 

The pixel Neons are a new paper to us for this collection, and the relation of this design, pixel squares, shows reference back to my photography career using pixel backgrounds and paints to explore each other, working side by side, recording the emotive responses to listening to music.  ​

 

The new collection is a big one. I have increased the scale to A1, A3, and A4 and produced a collection of 6x4 cards with this new range. There are over 100 pieces in this collection. We have a selection of these neons in mounts only, which makes it so much fun to design and find a frame for these.
