About commissioning art: A straightforward guide.
Decide what you want: size, colour and budget.
Be open about timeline: Commissions can take weeks to months, depending on complexity. On average, communication takes around 2 to 3 weeks.
Providing reference images of the room or space for inspiration: The clearer your brief, the better the result.
Ask about Framing: Do you want us to frame or provide a fancier framing system with lights, etc?
Deposit and payment: I do require a deposit, with final payment upon completion. This percentage is subject to change based on the brief. This is only when you are completely happy with the brief and, if required, the sample panels.
My studio is a Hampshire hidden gem. I moved from running a formal gallery to working from my home studio, my studio space open to visitors. My studio is relaxed and informal: you can view works in progress, talk through commissions, and see how pieces are framed and finished. It’s a great example of how art can be accessible when you know where to look. Also, we offer home visits if you prefer.
